Horrible. Absolutely Horrible. Jason Jennings once again had a horrendous outing. He gave up six runs in four innings. This is not going to help them late in the season. He needs to bounce back after a bunch crummy starts and build a come back. However, the opposing pitcher pitched exceptionally well. Tim Redding Pitched seven shut-out innings. Jesus Colome pitched two shut-out innings to close the game.
The pitching might have been horrible, but the bats weren't much better. Lance Berkman went three for three last night, but all in vain. I really didn't like the pitching, but what do you expect if you can't get any points? Even with the power of Lee back in the line-up after being injured in Saturdays game.
The Astros will attempt to shake this loss off as they go back out to face the Nationals in the second of four games. Wandy Rodriguez, who has pitched spectacularly well at home, will go at it against Joel Hanrahan.
